Accused are Siemens AG, the Helmholtz Zentrum, the University of Siegen, the University of Delft, the University of Paderborn, the German agency for technical standards (DIN), the European standardization organization for telephones and telecommunications (CEN), the telecommunication standardization sector (ITU), the German organization of the automotive industry (DAF), the German agency for nuclear safety, the German agency for atomic energy (GN), the German ministry of economy, energy and transport, Germany’s power grid association, the German water management association, and the German nuclear industry association (VDA). The trial began on the 26th of May 2012. 586 witnesses were present in the courtroom. After the presentation of the prosecution case, the defense began their cross-examination of 45 witnesses. The judge, after the trial proper, gave his verdict, the only acquittal was awarded to the defendant.

Research article concerning the influence of the extension of the charging period of the battery (sustained discharging) on the characteristics of the battery, such as its capacity, discharging life, and the structure of the dendrite and the electrolyte. The tests were carried out on 10 different lithium-ion batteries from different electronic devices, including BMS (battery management system) and mobile phones.
